Getting Started

MotiveWave is a professional trading platform that makes trading simple. Currently, MotiveWave is available as part of our pre-launch initiative. For the duration of this period the software will be free to use.

Download and Install MotiveWave

• You must register an account before you can download MotiveWave. Please click here to register.
• At the end of the registration process you will be given a link to download MotiveWave
• A license file will be sent to the email address you provided as part of the registration process. If you do not receive it shortly after registering, please check your email spam folder.
• To finish the installation, you must save the license file you received, in your MotiveWave registration email, to your computer. When you reach the License File screen in the MotiveWave installation process, browse to where you saved the license file on your computer.

Depending on your environment (at home or behind a corporate firewall) you may need to configure your proxy settings. In most cases, the proxy settings are unnecessary or are automatically detected. If you have having connection issues choose Options -> Proxy Settings from the MotiveWave splash screen.

Create a Connection to a Broker or Data Provider

• As part of the installation process, MotiveWave will ask you to create a Workspace, which is a connection to a Provider/Broker. Give your Workspace a name.
• Select your Broker or Data Provider from the drop down list of available providers.
• Follow the Broker specific instructions in the window to the right of the provider drop down list. If you do not have an account with any of these providers, you can create an account by selecting a provider from the drop down list and clicking the link provided in the window to the right of the provider drop down list.
• Choose whether this will be a Simulated account or not. Clicking this option will display a 'Simulated' watermark on all MotiveWave windows and dialogs.
